The Central Bank will publish its own price quotes for gold and currency reserves beginning January 1, the bank said Tuesday. At the moment, the bank is using the pegged price of $300 per troy ounce. The new pricing regime was necessitated by current market trends, the bank said. Gold is presently trading in Asia at more than $500 per troy ounce - a record in the past 17 years.
