Sergei Stepashin, Chairman of Russia's Auditing Chamber, and Viktor Cherkessov, Director of the Federal Service for Drugs Control, have signed an agreement on cooperation between their agencies, Auditing Chamber spokespeople report. The agreement envisages, amongst other things, the conduct of joint scheduled inspections as well as sharing of reference material and expertise. Next year, for instance, the two agencies plan a joint audit into the use of public funds allocated for a federal target program to counter drug abuse and trafficking.
