The Taganrog court sentenced to 20 years in a strict-regime prison for drug trafficking
The Taganrog court in the Rostov region sentenced to 20 years in a strict-regime prison Estonian citizen German Goncharov, 41, for drug trafficking. Such severe verdict was passed for the first time, the regional department of the Federal Drug Control Service said. Goncharov worked as a forwarding agent in a Tallinn company that supplies fish for a factory producing crab fingers. Investigators believe that he mainly earned money from drug trafficking. According to prosecutors, the defendant supplied and sold synthetic drugs. 300 grams of amphetamine, eight grams of cocaine, 200 ecstasy pills that cost about half a million roubles on the black market were confiscated from him. Goncharov appealed against the verdict. If the verdict is recognized lawful, he will serve his term in prison in Russia
