Rosneft said Thursday that its net profit would reach 146.6 billion rubles
Russian state-owned oil company Rosneft said Thursday that its net profit would reach 146.6 billion rubles (about $5.1 billion) in 2005. Following its performance in 2005, Rosneft will pay 220.3 billion rubles (about $7.6 billion) to the budgets of all levels and extra-budgetary funds, including 167.5 billion rubles (about $5.8 billion) to the federal budget or 7.3 times more compared with 2004. The company's board of directors also approved its 2006 business plan. In accordance with the plan, Rosneft will build up its mineral base through geological prospecting and the acquisition of new licenses, and will expand its oil output to 80 million metric tons per year and natural gas production to 13.9 billion cubic meters.
