Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Thursday a number of legislative documents, president's press service said. The documents include: * The bill on amendments to the law on Russian citizenship, which extends the term of the simplified procedure to obtain Russian citizenship for citizens of former Soviet republics who registered in Russia before July 1, 2002 or have a temporary residency permit in Russia until January 1, 2008 * The law on the amendments to the Russian Civil and Budget Codes that is aimed to eliminate differences between the federal law on insolvency (bureaucracy) and the norms stipulated by the Russian Civil Code * The federal law on ratification of the Protocol on cancellation of the Agreement on the formation of the Interstate Eurasian Coal and Metal Association of September 24, 1993 * The federal law on amendments to the law on state regulation of production and sales of ethanol and alcoholic beverages, aimed to strengthen state control over production and sales of alcohol * The federal law on ratification of the Protocol on amendments and additions to the agreement between the governments of the Russian Federation and Kyrgyzstan on labor and social protection of migrant workers of March 28, 1996, which regulates labor issues and protection of rights of Russian migrant workers temporarily employed in Kyrgyzstan and Kyrgyz workers temporarily employed in Russia * The federal law on amendments to the Urban Development Code of the Russian Federation, which clarify a number of provisions in the document and make city-planning activities more transparent * The federal law on ratification of the agreement between the governments of the Russian Federation and Tajikistan on labor and social protection of migrant workers, which is aimed to promote legal labor migration and prevent illegal use of work force * The federal law on ratification of the agreement on mutual protection of interstate secrets in the sphere of patent rights, which was signed by the countries-members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on July 4, 1999, and is aimed to ensure the protection of classified information about secret inventions, establishment of legal protection and declassification procedures for secret inventions made in the former Soviet Union * The federal law on amendments to the law on joint-stock companies
