The federal budget's cash surplus totaled about $56 billion in 2005, the Finance Ministry said in a statement Wednesday. Revenues totaled about $179 billion, up 2.8% from the 2005 revenue target, and expenditures equaled about $123 billion, or 2% down on the planned figure, the ministry said. The initial budget surplus was about $64 billion in 2005, the ministry said.
