The first meeting of G8 sherpa has begun under the Russian presidency at the governmental house of receptions in Vozdvizhenka Street, the steering committee of the Russian G8 presidency told Itar-Tass. “This is the first working meeting that is held under the Russian presidency. Sherpa are expected to finish their work on January 20,” the steering committee said. Russia presides in the G8 this year. The next G8 summit will be held in Petersburg on July 15-17.
