Russia's Central Bank announced Friday that the country's narrowly defined money supply (M1) was 2,162.6 billion rubles ($76.44 billion) as of January 16, down 136.3 billion rubles ($4.82 billion) in the week since January 10. According to the Bank, M1 money supply consists of the currency issued by the bank, including cash in vaults of credit institutions, and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Central Bank.
