A 4.8-magnitude earthquake rocked the Russian republic of Buryatia on Wednesday night. There were no human casualties or damage, the regional emergencies situations department reported. The epicenter of tremors was located 110 kilometers northeast of the district center of Kurumkan. It was the third earthquake in the district in less than a week. This kind of seismic activity is normal for the Barguzin valley, specialists of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Geophysical Service, said.
