Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent a message of greetings to the Champions of the 20th Olympics Games Tatyana Totmyanina and Maxim Marinin, who won the gold medal in the Olympic figure skating pairs event, the presidential press service reported. "You have met the expectations of millions of Russian sports fans, rising to the top of the Olympic pedestal of honor. Your excellent duet demonstrated great professional skills, superb technical merits and artistic performance. The Russian duet has proved that Russia’s school of figure skating is one of the best in the world," Putin said in the message
