Almost 100,000 people in central Ukraine have been left without gas supplies after a pipeline ruptured, the country's Emergency Situations Ministry said Tuesday. The rupture occurred in the Cherkass Region Monday after a cave-in on a trunk pipeline near the town of Uman. The emergency services were forced to cut off supplies to five residential areas as they carried out work to fix the leak. Several repair teams are currently on the scene.
