Vnesheconombank transferred $1.2 billion to the Paris Club of Creditor Nations on February 17-21 in regular debt payment and servicing
Russia's state-owned bank, Vnesheconombank, acting as the Russian government's payment agent, transferred $1.2 billion to the Paris Club of Creditor Nations on February 17-21 in regular debt payment and servicing, the bank's press office said Tuesday. The bank was acting on the instructions of the Finance Ministry. Vnesheconombank paid $611.9 million on the principal debt and $582.8 million as interest. Payments were made on loans restructured under agreements with the Paris Club, the statement said. Vnesheconombank also transferred $25.2 million to KfW bank as payment of Russia's debt to Germany. Vnesheconombank made payments in accordance with the schedules agreed with sovereign creditors, the statement said
