Russia's Central Bank announced Friday that the country's narrowly defined money supply (M1) was 2,179.5 billion rubles ($77.76 billion at the current exchange rate) as of February 27, up 400 million rubles ($14.27 million) in the week since February 20. According to the Bank, M1 money supply consists of the currency issued by the bank, including cash in vaults of credit institutions, and required reserves balances on ruble deposits with the Central Bank.
