Russia is not going to cede its space positions
Russia is not going to cede its space positions, Deputy Prime Minister, Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov has said. "At present, space exploration is one of state priority tasks for Russia. This is determined by needs of the economy, science development, of defence capability and the need to maintain the prestige of Russia that has the status of a great space state. Russia is not going to give up its positions in space," Ivanov said at a meeting of the board of the Federal Space Agency on Friday. "Russia has fulfilled international cooperation obligations, the ground space infrastructure has been preserved and a basis for the development of new-generation spacecraft has been made," Ivanov said.
