Grenade exploded outside a regional Interior Ministry counter-terrorism center in the North Caucasus Wednesday killing one person
A grenade exploded outside a regional Interior Ministry counter-terrorism center in the North Caucasus Wednesday killing one person, local officials said. "At around 11.00 a.m. Moscow time [7.00 a.m. GMT] an explosion occurred outside [the center]," the local Interior Ministry press-service said, adding that the explosion had killed a duty sentry on a watchtower. The blast was caused by the sentry handling a grenade launcher improperly, the spokesman said, adding that speculations that the explosion had targeted the center's office building were groundless. Preliminary reports said two people had been injured in the incident
