Italian luxury carmaker Automobili Lamborghini will open its first Russian outlet in a Moscow suburb
Italian luxury carmaker Automobili Lamborghini will open its first Russian outlet in a Moscow suburb, the company's local dealer said Tuesday. Lamborghini will sell made-to-order sedans starting at $258,000 in the Barvikha suburb, where many members of Russia's political and business elite have their country retreats. The Barvikha outlet will cover the entire Lamborghini model range, including the Gallardo, the Gallardo Spyder, the Murcielago Roadster, and the Murcielago LP 640. Lamborghini sold six cars to Russian customers in 2005, and expects its local sales to reach 20-25 units this year. Another Italian manufacturer of elite automobiles, Ferrari, also hopes its sales in Russia will increase to 30 cars in 2006, from 25 last year. Britain's Bentley, which sold 200 vehicles on the Russian market in 2005, is set to boost its sales to 300.
