Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended his best wishes to Itar-Tass Director General Vitaly Ignatenko on the occasion of his 65th birthday, the Kremlin website said Wednesday. "Competence, efficiency and the ability to work for future prospects helped you realize your rich creative potential in full measure, and achieve excellent results in your career," the head of state said in a congratulatory telegram. "Your colleagues appreciate you not only for your high business qualities but also for fine personal traits, the ability to unite talented associates around youself," the president said. Ignatenko has been awarded a Russian government diploma for his considerable contribution to the development of the mass media.
