Rescue workers Friday morning continued their search for four climbers missing since Tuesday on Mount Elbrus
Rescue workers Friday morning continued their search for four climbers missing since Tuesday on Mount Elbrus, Europe's highest peak, an emergencies official said. "Today we plan to bring down the bodies of seven climbers found earlier," the official said, adding that rescue workers would search other areas for four climbers still unaccounted for. Two groups of 14 climbers from Russia and Ukraine went missing late Tuesday at an altitude of 4,300 meters (14,000 feet). The bodies of seven were found Thursday, but could not be recovered due to strong winds making a helicopter landing impossible.
