Valentina Matvienko thanked the Swedish royal family for their activities in helping to realize humanitarian projects of UNICEF in St. Petersburg
A meeting was held today in Stockholm between St. Petersburg Governor Valentina Matvienko and the heir to the Swedish throne, Princess Victoria. As reported to a Rosbalt correspondent by the governor's press office, Matvienko thanked the Swedish royal family for their activities in helping to realize humanitarian projects of UNICEF in St. Petersburg. The governor also expressed her gratitude to Princess Victoria for her active personal participation in the celebration of St. Petersburg's 300-year jubilee. According to Matvienko, 'the attention which the Swedish royal family pays to the city on the Neva will unquestionably serve to develop cooperation between St. Petersburg and Sweden.'
