The body of the eighth mountain climber who went missing on Mount Elbrus on May 9 has been found, the head of the press service of the Emergencies Ministry’s Kabardino-Balkar department, Kantimir Davydov, told Itar-Tass on Monday. On May 8, a group of four climbers from Kiev, including two teenagers aged 15 and 16, and a group of eight climbers from Moscow, were caught in a snow storm on Elbrus slopes and lost their way. On May 10, one climber managed to reach a nearby rescue service post. Earlier, the bodies of seven mountianeers were found. They had dug themselves into snow trying to keep themselves warm, but eventually died of cold. The rescuers are searching for the bodies of the four climbers still unaccounted for.
