More than 6,000 underages are registered by police as members of extremist organisations
More than 6,000 underages are registered by police as members of extremist organisations, Russian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev said when addressing the State Duma during the "government hour" in the parliament's house on Wednesday. Involvement of underage persons in extremist activities creates much danger, he stressed. Most of the facts are registered in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov and the Samara, Voronezh and Murmansk regions, Nurgaliyev said. The minister noted that some electronic media spread extremist propaganda. Nurgaliyev cited the case of murder of an Armenian that was committed by teenagers on March 12. A group of teenagers killed the Armenian in a Moscow-Monino electric train. The man's wife fortunately survived in that incident. The attackers were detained and confessed to their crime. They said they had seen such facts in media publications. The minister believes the Public Chamber should address the problem and give its recommendations in this connection.
