The North Ossetian Supreme Court on Tuesday resumed reading a verdict to Nurpashi Kulayev - the only surviving terrorist responsible for a terrorist act staged at Beslan school in September, 2004. Judge Tamerlan Aguzarov read out the conclusions made by forensic experts about the causes of the death of the Beslan victims. One of them received two gunshot wounds in the head that caused the victim's death, the judge said as he was reading out an excerpt from the forensic conclusion. The causes of another victim's death could not be established because the body turned into a charred mess, the judge said in a separate sentence, after which the women present in the courtroom burst into tears. Despite a permission given to the people in the courtroom to remain seated while the verdict was being announced all those present in the courtroom, including representatives of the prosecution headed by Deputy Prosecutor general Nikolai Shepel, are standing upright as they are listening to the verdict. The North Ossetian Supreme Court declared Beslan terrorist Nurpashi Kulayev was guilty on all the counts of a criminal charge brought against him. The court established that Kulayev was responsible for the assassinations, actual execution of the terrorist act, proved his involvement in an illegal armed group, hostage taking, illegal storage and transportation of weapons. Prosecutor Nikolai Shepel demanded capital punishment to the terrorist. The death toll from the terrorist act staged at the Beslan school on September 1-3, 2004 was 331.
