Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov has called for making the financial accounting system simpler for small businesses
Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov has called for making the financial accounting system simpler for small businesses. “It is time to leave barn books,” he said at a meeting of the city government over a three-year programme of support of small business on Tuesday. “Accounting of small businesses should be absolutely simple, but at the same time full,” Luzhkov said. He said the Moscow city government would propose at the federal government’s meeting on Wednesday amendments to a federal law on small business. According to the Moscow Statistics Committee, more than 201,000 small businesses were registered in the capital at the beginning of this year. Small business employs more than 2 million Muscovites. Total revenues of small businesses are 3 billion roubles. Over 6 billion roubles will be allocated from the city budget and more than 30 billion roubles from extra-budgetary sources within three years to support and develop small business in Moscow.
