Russia’s Border Guard Department said it has no information about an abortive attempt by a Ukrainian politician to enter Russia from Ukraine
Russia’s Border Guard Department said it has no information about an abortive attempt by a Ukrainian politician to enter Russia from Ukraine. According to Ukrainian reports, a temporary adviser to the foreign minister, Sergei Yevtushenko, was not let into Russia at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport and had to go back home. “The department has not received such information about incident. If the Foreign Ministry or the embassy of Ukraine in Russia makes an official inquiry into this matter, the department will explain the reasons for which Yevtushenko was not let cross Russia’s state border,” the Border Guard Service told Itar-Tass. Russia’s border crossing rules apply to citizens of all countries, including temporary advisers of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
