Akhmar-Hajji Gazikhanov was dismissed on Tuesday
Akhmar-Hajji Gazikhanov, Chairman of the Council of the Republic – the upper house of the Chechen parliament, was dismissed on Tuesday, a parliament source told Itar-Tass. No reasons for the dismissal were given. Vakhit Mantsayev was elected as the new chairman of the Council of the Republic at a closed-door meeting of the house.
