Russian President Vladimir Putin has urged foreign countries to define clear rules for an access of foreign companies to their economies
Russian President Vladimir Putin has urged foreign countries to define clear rules for an access of foreign companies to their economies. “It is well known that far from all countries, even the countries with developed economies, manage to create a transparent procedure of an access to the national economy, when we are talking about national security,” President Putin stressed at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum on Tuesday. He said Russia was also working on that problem. “We believe that our economy must be maximally open and transparent,” the Russian leader continued. However, necessary from the point of view of national security restrictions for investors must also be maximally transparent. “It is important to see that no unfounded obstacles for foreign investments be created under the pretext of national security interests,” Putin added. He expressed hope that other counties would do the same in regard to Russian companies and would establish clear rules for investors in strategic fields.
