This week a unique railcar-temple made its first run in the Chelyabinsk region
The creation was initiated by the administration of the South-Ural Railway line and the Chelyabinsk eparchy. Inside the railway car everything is organized just like a real Orthodox church-icons, a lectern, etc. The priest will perform prayers, baptisms and liturgical services, and also tell those in the railcar-temple about Orthodox ordinances. Railway specialists along with clergymen from the Chelyabinsk eparchy developed a special route for this unusual railcar. The railcar-temple is planned to make a few extended stops in places where there are no nearby churches. Specifically, from May 24-26 the railcar will stop at the Potanino Station, then at the Kosyrevo Station from May 26-28, and at the Chernivskaya Station from May 28-29. In June the railcar-temple will stop at another 10 stations or double-track sections in the Cheliabinsk section of the South-Ural Railways.
