Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad described the six nations' proposals as "a step forward" to settle the nuclear problem. Speaking at a press conference in Shanghai on Friday, the president said he would ask his colleagues to attentively study the proposals. The response will be given in appropriate time, he added. Iran is not seeking to develop nuclear weapons, the president said, adding that Iran did not fear attacks from Israel on its nuclear facilities.
