The first test flight of the new Russian passenger Su-80 plane was finally held on Thursday evening at Komsomolsk-on-Amur
The first test flight of the new Russian passenger Su-80 plane, which had to be put off for several days due to bad weather, was finally held on Thursday evening at Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The Su-80 is designed to carry 26-30 passengers and is provided with the most up-to-date radio-electronic systems and other board equipment, allowing it to fly to any point of the globe. Economic effectiveness and minimum maintenance costs are the new machine’s main advantages, allowing air companies to cut down the cost of passenger tickets. The Russian “TransAero” Company has already signed contracts to buy ten such aircraft. Other companies have ordered seventy more machines.
