Russia and Oman have finished bilateral talks today in connection with Russia's admission to the WTO
The two countries have signed protocols on the conditions of access of Oman's products to the Russian market, the press service of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry told RBC. Specifically, the protocol provides for imposing import duties on goods imported from Oman. So far Russia has signed similar protocols with about 10 countries, including Kyrgyzstan, New Zealand, Israel, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Hungary. Russia plans to finish talks on tariffs with Japan and South Korea within a month. As reported earlier, 52 of the 67 member-countries of the task group for Russia's admission to the WTO have voiced their readiness to hold talks on tariffs with Russia. Seven countries, including Egypt and Madagascar, have declared they would not sign such protocols.
