Japanese writer Haruki Murakami, who is highly popular in Russia, is going to publish a new book
According to Murakami, two weeks ago he handed a copy of his new work "After Dark" to a publishing house. "I am always looking for my style and it is changing with every book as if you are climbing up the stairs. You see something new on each step," the writer told RIA Novosti on Tuesday. Murakami's favorite writer is Fyodor Dostoyevsky. In his words, he wants to write a book close to "The Brothers Karamazov" in its profundity and keenness. Haruki Murakami was born in 1949. He studied French philology and classical drama in Waseda University. In 1991-1995 the writer lived in the United States. His first book "Hear the Wind Sing" (1974) made him famous and won the Gunzou literary prize. Most Murakami's bestsellers are translated into Russian.
