GAZ has expanded its lineup of trucks for the Russian army
GAZ (RTS: GAZA) has expanded its lineup of trucks for the Russian army, the Russian auto manufacturer said Wednesday. "The Ural Automotive Plant [a subsidiary of GAZ Group] has released the first model of a unique multi-purpose truck chassis with a 10x10 wheel arrangement for military vehicles," the company said in a statement. The new model, Ural-632361, features high off-road capability and increased load capacity, the document said. The Ural automotive plant is the main supplier of military trucks to the Russian army. GAZ Group was established in 2005, after RusPromAvto restructured its production assets. Based in the central Russian city of Niznhy Novgorod, GAZ supplies vehicles to 29 countries in the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. GAZ produces about 200,000 vehicles a year.
