Russia’s transport watchdog Rostransnadzor will not take extra security measures at the country’s airports
Russia’s transport watchdog Rostransnadzor will not take extra security measures at the country’s airports, its chief, Boris Chertok told the media. The agency has issued no directives banning liquids and gels from the list of items allowed on board with the hand luggage. “Russian airports have enough measures that fully guarantee security,” he said. However, as of August 14 Moscow’s Sheremetievo-2 airport officially bans liquids and gels from the hand luggage on all flights to the United States by Russian air carrier Aeroflot and the United States’ Delta airlines. Sheremetievo authorities said any liquid products purchased at the airport’s duty-free shops will be not allowed in the passengers’ hand luggage, either.
