Russian President Vladimir Putin offered the EurAsEc leaders to discuss integration processes
Russian President Vladimir Putin offered the EurAsEc leaders to discuss integration processes, includes those related to the Common Economic Space /CES/, and the plans to join the World Trade Organization. Putin said so as he was opening the meeting between the EurAsEc leaders in Sochi on Wednesday. "The issue of correlating the efforts to develop integration processes, as applied to the building of the CES and everything we've been doing within the EurAsEc framework is quite important for all of us," Putin said. "The exchange of information about the plans of our WTO accession is quite important," he underlined. "Our intention to deepen integration within the EurAsEc framework, as far as the establishment of Customs Union should be correlated precisely and clearly with the WTO accession rates and the quality of this process for each of the countries," the Russian president added. He also called for paying attention to intensifying EurAsEc's cooperation with the Collective Security Treaty Organization /CSTO/. The meeting then continued in camera.
