The embattled oil major YUKOS on Thursday filed an appeal against a court ruling declaring it bankrupt, Prime-Tass reports. The Moscow City Court of Arbitration on August 1 ruled YUKOS should be declared bankrupt and opened twelve-month-long bankruptcy procedures. A total of 85 claims from 44 creditors were submitted to court. Thirty of them were recognized and included in the list of creditors’ demands. YUKOS’s common stocks may be removed from the list of securities used in computing the RTS index as of September 15. An RTS official said a final decision would be made before September 1.
