The Moscow city government will pay 100,000 rubles in death compensations to relatives of those killed in a bombing early Monday
The Moscow city government will pay 100,000 rubles ($3,700) in death compensations to relatives of those killed in a bombing early Monday, a Moscow legislator said Tuesday. The bomb went off Monday at 10:27 a.m. Moscow time (6:27 a.m. GMT) at the Cherkizovsky market, where many Asians work. At least 10 people died and 55 were injured when the explosion ripped through the market in northeast Moscow. "The families of the dead will be paid 100,000 rubles, and those injured will receive 50,000 rubles [$1,900]," Moscow City Duma Speaker Vladimir Platonov said. He added those who had received medical assistance but had not been hospitalized would receive smaller compensations.
