Russia's Ambassador to Kenya will remain at his post after he recovers
Russia's Ambassador to Kenya, who was attacked in the East African country Sunday, will remain at his post after he recovers, a Russian Foreign Ministry official said Tuesday. Valery Yegoshkin was hospitalized in critical condition after two unidentified robbers stabbed him on a highway when he stopped to avoid hitting a boy. "The Ambassador will continue at his post after he recovers," said Andrei Krivtsov, a deputy ministry spokesman. He added that the diplomat was in satisfactory condition and his life was out of danger. The ministry demanded Monday that Kenyan authorities take extra measures to ensure the safety of Russian diplomats.
