A delegation of the Japanese Air Self-Defence Force has arrived in Russia for a working visit, head of the information and public relations service of the Russian Air Force Colonel Alexander Drobyshevsky told Itar-Tass on Tuesday. “During the visit, a meeting between the head of the Japanese delegation and Russian Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Force General of the Army Vladimir Mikhailov will be held,” he said. “The delegation of the Japanese Air Self-Defence Force will visit the air garrison in Monino, as well as the Central Museum of the Air Force. The visit will last till August 25. In January, Russian Vice-Prime Minister, Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov and chief of the Japanese Defence Agency Fukushiro Nukaga discussed in Moscow the state and prospect of bilateral military cooperation. At the talks, the sides reached an agreement on more intensive and regular contacts of the Navy, the Air Force and the Land Forces of the two countries.
