It is possible to decipher information from flight recorders of the crashed Tu-154 of Plukovo Airlines
It is possible to decipher information from flight recorders of the crashed Tu-154 of Plukovo Airlines, Deputy Chairman of the Interstate Aviation Committee Oleg Yermolov told Itar-Tass on Friday. “Despite the hard impact on the containers at the crash moment, the carriers of in-flight information are in satisfactory condition and can be deciphered,” he said. The condition of the recorder, which registered flight parameters, is “quite satisfactory,” while sound recordings “have considerable noise disturbances,” which will require extra time for processing, Yermolov said. A commission of the Interstate Aviation Committee involving representatives of Ukrainian aviation authorities has started to decipher and synchronize the recordings. The Tu-154 crashed near the village of Sukhaya Balka in Ukraine’s Donetsk region en route from Anapa to St. Petersburg on Tuesday. The crash killed 170 people onboard, including 49 children.
