Highway bridge under construction has collapsed in central Yekaterinburg
A highway bridge under construction has collapsed in central Yekaterinburg. No reports on human casualties or damage were immediately available, the regional department of Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry told Itar-Tass. The bridge is located at the crossing of Shevchenko and Sovetskaya Streets. The highway bridge has halted west- and east-bound railroad traffic through the city, the press service of the Sverdlovsk Railways told Itar-Tass. The number of halted trains was not immediately known. An expert commission of the Sverdlovsk Railways led by company director Shevket Shaidullin is working at the scene.
