Many educational institutions in Russia are working without licenses
Many educational institutions in Russia are working without licenses, the head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Education and Science said in a telephone conference with representatives of Russian regions. “A total of 10.7 percent of pre-school establishments have no licenses,” Viktor Bolotov said. According to him, 52 percent of kindergartens in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area and 42 percent of kindergartens in Tyumen have no licenses. He urged regions to solve the licensing issue shortly. Bolotov also said that 7.9 percent of Russian secondary schools have no licenses. The Southern Federal District is top on the list, he added. He also drew attention to a need to observe the right of youth to education. “This year, over 11,000 children have been sent down from school,” he stressed. “Almost one fourth of them have remained without jobs or have not been sent to other establishments to continue education”. The head of Rosobrnadzor came out with an offer to carry out an inspection of educational establishments in Russian regions.
