The Russian patrol ship Pytlivy is competing preparations for joining the NATO operation Active Endeavour
The Russian patrol ship Pytlivy is competing preparations for joining the NATO operation Active Endeavour. The Black Sea Fleet’s press service told ITAR-TASS on Thursday that the ship was prepared for tasks of a NATO permanent naval group in the Mediterranean Sea. The Russian seamen drilled a check operation, refuelling from a tanker, transfer of cargoes on the move, and practiced with communications and artillery fire. “Officials of the North Atlantic alliance who are in charge of preparation for the operation Active Endeavour of ships of non-NATO counties, who are aboard the Russian patrol ship, have stated good training of our crew,” the press service said. The Pytlivy fuelled from the Iman tanker on Thursday and set course for one of Turkish navy bases in the Mediterranean Sea.
