The Russian Soyuz spaceship with three cosmonauts on board was docked to the International Space Station (ISS) at 09.21 on Tuesday, Valery Lyndin, official spokesman for the Mission Control Centre told. The Soyuz TMA-9 spaceship, launched off the Baikonur cosmodrome on September 18, brought to ISS the crew of the 14th main expedition – Mikhail Tyurin from Russia and NASA astronaut Michael Lopez-Alegria, who will stay there for six months. The third person is the first Female Space Ambassador Anousheh Ansari, U.S. citizen of Iranian descent. She will conduct several scientific experiments and return to the Earth in nine days together with Pavel Vinogradov and Geoffrey Williams, who have been working at ISS since last April.
