A fire in a train loaded with coal has been extinguished on the Trans-Siberian main line. The fair broke out in the cargo train of 36 coal cars at the station of Arkhara in the Amur Region on Thursday. Three fire trains and two fire engines fought the blaze. No people were hurt in the incident, the Emergencies Ministry’s Amur regional department reported. When the coal caught fire, all the 36 cars were removed from the station to a sidetrack two kilometres from the residential area. A commission of Far Eastern railway specialists arrived at the site on Friday to investigate the incident. Specialists are also to decide how to transport the remaining coal.
