Russian-Hungarian relations develop dynamically and deserve a positive evaluation
Russian-Hungarian relations develop dynamically and deserve a positive evaluation, Russian Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov and Hungarian Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsany said at their joint meeting on Monday. Mironov arrived in Budapest to take part in the festivities devoted to the 50th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian revolution. He handed over Gyurcsany a statement adopted by the Russian upper house in line with the jubilee of the 1956 revolution. Mironov and Gyurcsany pointed to the high level of presidential and inter-parliamentary relations. Over the past several years Russia and Hungary have been expanding their trade and economic relations, they said. Over the past five years Hungary’s annual export output was up by 35-40 percent. Last year’s bilateral trade reached a record high of 6 billion U.S. dollars. In January-June it increased by 40 percent.
