Two people have been found dead after a motorboat was caught in a storm on Siberia's Lake Baikal
Two people have been found dead, one has been found alive, and three remain missing after a motorboat was caught in a storm on Siberia's Lake Baikal, a local rescue team said Tuesday. The accident on the world's largest freshwater body occurred Monday when the boat with six on board was caught in strong winds, the rescue team said. Rescue operations yielded no results Monday, and were resumed Tuesday. Rescuers found two bodies and one injured survivor on Tuesday afternoon after inspecting the southern coast of Lake Baikal from a helicopter. The region is several time zones ahead of Moscow. The search for the missing people continues, the rescue team said. The ministry said the boat had been found.
