Prospects for easing the visa regime between Russia and Norway were central at the talks between Sergei Lavrov and Jonas Gahr Store
Prospects for easing the visa regime between Russia and Norway were central at the talks between Foreign Ministers, Sergei Lavrov and Jonas Gahr Store, the Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday. Lavrov and Store held talks in Salekhard as part of the 5th session of the Arctic Council. The ministers of the two countries “discussed major directions of cooperation in the North and Arctic, as well as the transfer of chairmanship of the Arctic Council to Norway.” Lavrov and Store also discussed bilateral issues. They riveted much attention to investments, energy and fishery, and prospects for easing the visa regime between our countries,” the ministry said. “The ministers exchanged views on the development of a dialogue on Russia-NATO relations and key international issues, including the situation in the Middle East,” the ministry stressed.
