The Russian Prosecutor-General’s Office is ready to help Scotland Yard investigate the death of former FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko who died in London on November 24. “Noting the constructive, dynamically developing cooperation between the two countries’ law enforcement agencies, the Prosecutor General’s Office is ready to use the whole arsenal of its possibilities for giving assistance to its British colleagues within the framework of the already signed agreements with the Crown Prosecution Service of Great Britain and of the dialogue that has already taken place with the Home Office and Scotland Yard,” a representative of the Prosecutor General’s office said. He said that the Russian side is also “ready to receive British colleagues in Moscow if necessary and provide a comprehensive support to them”. The Prosecutor General’s Office “has not received any investigating inquiries from Great Britain so far”, he said.
